Jada Pinkett Smith celebrates her audiobook

A heart-filling Saturday night with the fam

Jada posted a series of photos and videos on her social media account, showing her husband Will Smith, their son Jaden Smith, and their daughter Willow Smith enjoying some quality time together by the sea. She captioned the post: “A heart-filling Saturday night with the fam AND … I got to celebrate the fact that I finished recording my audiobook of Worthy that afternoon with the fam as well. Joy is all too real.”

The selfie shots, seemingly taken by Jaden, captured the happy smiles of the Smith family. Jada wore a denim jacket, while Will sported a pale yellow t-shirt. Willow looked chic in a black outfit and sunglasses, while Jaden rocked a colorful ensemble and a beanie.

Jada’s fans and followers congratulated her on her achievement and expressed their love and admiration for her and her family. Some of the comments were:

  • “You guys are such an inspiration. Can’t wait to listen to your audiobook.”
  • “Beautiful family. Congrats on finishing your audiobook. I’m sure it will be amazing.”
  • “You are so worthy of all the joy and happiness. Love you and your family.”

Worthy: Jada’s memoir of self-love and empowerment

Jada announced earlier this week that she had written a memoir titled ‘Worthy’, which is described as “a deeply personal journey of transformation that explores Jada’s complex relationship with herself, her family, her career, and ultimately, her worthiness.” The book is expected to be published by HarperOne on October 10, 2023.

Jada said that she wrote the book to take responsibility for her story and to share her insights and experiences with others who might be struggling with similar issues. She said that writing the book was “emotionally taxing” but also “technical” and “creative”.

She also said that she wanted to create an audiobook version of her memoir because she felt that it would be more intimate and authentic for her listeners. She said: “I wanted to do an audiobook because I felt like it would be more personal for me to tell my story in my own voice. I think it adds another layer of intimacy and authenticity to the book.”

Red Table Talk: Jada’s Emmy-nominated show

Jada is also known for hosting Red Table Talk, a web series that features candid conversations about various topics such as relationships, health, culture, politics, and more. The show is co-hosted by Jada’s daughter Willow and her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, who are also executive producers.

The show has been nominated for four Daytime Emmy awards in 2023, including Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host, Outstanding Informative Talk Show, Outstanding Directing Team for a Talk Show or Morning Program, and Outstanding Hairstyling for a Multiple Camera Series or Special.

Jada celebrated the nominations on Instagram, saying: “We are so deeply grateful to the entire RTT family for all your hard work and to our RTT community for your undying support. We love what we do, so a big thank you to all the members of NATAS for this acknowledgment. We deeply appreciate it.”

Red Table Talk also has a spin-off show called Red Table Talk: The Estefans, which features singer Gloria Estefan, her daughter Emily Estefan, and her niece Lili Estefan. The show has been nominated for three Daytime Emmy awards in 2023 as well.
