The award-winning singer-songwriter Adele is reportedly planning to expand her business empire by launching her own cosmetics line. The star, who is currently performing at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, has filed paperwork to create a new company called The Shelbourne Collective Limited.
Adele’s new venture
According to Companies House, the private limited company’s registered address is in London and Adele is listed as the only director. The Mirror has reported that the business is a cosmetics line, with Adele hoping to sell makeup products to let her fans recreate her iconic winged eyeliner look. They allege that she would be able to sell makeup and body care products, as well as perfume, jewellery, and even underwear.
Adele has shown herself to be a strong businesswoman, already owning her very successful company, Melted Stone Ltd. The company, which handles her music royalties and earnings, reported a net worth of £164 million in 2020. Adele also owns another company, A Adkins Touring Ltd, which deals with her live performances.
Adele’s career change
The new venture comes after her agent insisted that Adele’s next career move will most likely be something completely different than music, after the end of her hugely successful Las Vegas residency. Her Weekends With Adele residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is set to come to an end in June 2024, following a short break next month.
And Adele’s long-standing agent Lucy Dickins has suggested the star is likely to take a break from gigs next year. “I don’t know – she won’t do what everyone else does,” Lucy told Metro.co.uk as she arrived at the Music Industry Trusts (MITS) Awards in London on Monday. “[Adele’s] never done that in her life so I’d be surprised if she comes and does the same as everyone else.”
“She’s enjoying doing the residency and I just think we’ll take each day as it comes.”
Adele’s lifestyle changes
Adele has also made headlines for her stunning transformation over the past few years. The singer has reportedly lost over seven stone and adopted a healthier lifestyle. She has credited her son Angelo, whom she shares with ex-husband Simon Konecki, as the motivation for her changes.
“She wanted to find a way to balance things better. She is now in a very good place both physically and mentally,” a source told People magazine in 2020.
Adele has also been dating sports agent Rich Paul since July 2021. The couple made their public debut at the NBA Finals in Phoenix, Arizona. They have since been spotted together at various events, including the British Vogue 100th anniversary party and the Los Angeles Lakers game.
Adele has not released any new music since her third album, 25, in 2015. The album won five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, and sold over 22 million copies worldwide. Fans are eagerly awaiting her fourth album, which is rumored to be titled 30.
