Food Bank Receives Generous Donations from Restaurants and Grocery Stores

The Clayton County Food Bank, which serves more than 20,000 people every month, has received generous donations from several restaurants and grocery stores in the area. These donations include fresh produce, meat, dairy, and canned goods, which help the food bank offer nutritious meals to its clients.

The Clayton County Domestic Violence Shelter, which provides safe housing, counseling, and legal services to survivors of domestic abuse, has received funding and supplies from several local organizations. These donations include cash, clothing, toiletries, and toys, which help the shelter offer comfort and dignity to its residents.

The shelter’s director, Mary Jones, said that the donations have been a blessing for the shelter, especially during the pandemic. She said that the incidence of domestic violence has increased by 50% since last year, and that the shelter has been operating at full capacity.
