The brand has launched a series of four “sympathy” cards that contain a mini bottle of Fireball Whisky and a snarky message for fans of losing teams. The cards are available for purchase online in select states and can be delivered with expedited shipping.
A Burn That Feels Good
The Fireball Footbawl Cards are designed to either cheer up a friend who is disappointed by their team’s performance or to tease a rival who is suffering from a loss. The cards have witty and sarcastic messages on the outside and inside, such as:
- Outside: “One word to describe your weekend? OUCH” Inside: “Here’s a burn that actually feels good. 🔥”
- Outside: “Heard you’re on a bit of a cold streak.” Inside: “Here’s a little fire to warm you up. 🔥”
- Outside: “Burning question: is it hard for your team to be this bad?” Inside: “Feel the heat. 🔥”
- Outside: “My deepest condolences.” Inside: “Your team is terrible. But this isn’t. Cheers.”
The cards also contain a 50 ml shooter of Fireball Whisky, which is known for its spicy and sweet taste. The brand claims that the drink is “the perfect way to celebrate or commiserate” during the football season.

The Fireball Footbawl Cards are part of the brand’s marketing strategy to appeal to football fans and non-fans alike. The brand manager of Fireball Whisky, Danny Suich, said in a press release that the cards are meant to add some fun and fire to the football season.
“We know part of the fun of football is not only seeing your team win, but also watching your friends’ teams lose,” Suich said. “And it’s even more fun to talk a little trash when things don’t go their way.”
The cards are available for purchase on the website www.fireballfootbawlcards.com for $1.99 each, starting from September 12, after the first full week of football season. The cards can be shipped to select states, including Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

A Follow-Up to the Dragnum Bottle
The Fireball Footbawl Cards are not the only promotion that the brand has launched for the football season. In mid-August, the brand introduced the Fireball Cinnamon Dragnum, a champagne-inspired magnum bottle filled with 1.75 liters of Fireball Whisky. The bottle is designed to resemble a dragster car and has a slogan that reads “Fire Up Your Tailgate”.
The Dragnum bottle is available at select retailers across the country for a suggested retail price of $39.99. The brand encourages consumers to share their photos and videos of the bottle on social media using the hashtag #FireUpYourTailgate.
