Emilee Rio’s soccer journey
Emilee Rio, a senior on the Cicero-North Syracuse (C-NS) girl’s soccer team, has been playing soccer since she was four years old. She was inspired by her older sister, Marissa, who also played soccer in college. Emilee said that she and her sister used to compete with each other on the field, but also supported each other’s growth.
Emilee has been a varsity player since her freshman year, and has earned many awards and recognitions for her skills and performance. She is a midfielder who can score goals, create chances, and defend well. She is also a team captain who leads by example and motivates her teammates.
Emilee Rio’s college plans
Emilee has committed to play soccer at Marist College, a Division I school in New York. She said that she chose Marist because she liked the coach, Nicole Pacapelli, and the campus. She also said that she wanted to continue playing soccer in college because it is her passion and her way of expressing herself.
Emilee plans to major in biology and pursue a career in the medical field. She said that she is interested in helping people and learning about the human body. She also said that she hopes to balance her academic and athletic responsibilities well.
Emilee Rio’s legacy at C-NS
Emilee said that she wants to leave a positive legacy at C-NS, not only as a soccer player, but also as a person. She said that she wants to inspire the younger players on the team to work hard, be competitive, and have fun. She also said that she wants to be remembered as someone who was kind, respectful, and supportive of others.
Emilee’s coach, Jeremy Lenchert, praised her for her dedication, talent, and character. He said that Emilee always makes time to train with the younger players and enjoys mentoring them. He also said that Emilee is a role model for everyone on the team.
Emilee Rio’s current season
Emilee and her C-NS teammates are having a successful season so far, with only one loss in their record. They are aiming to win the league title and make a deep run in the playoffs. Emilee said that the team has a good chemistry and works well together.
Emilee said that she is enjoying her final season at C-NS, and that she is grateful for the opportunity to play soccer with her friends. She said that she is proud of what she has accomplished so far, but also eager to achieve more. She said that she loves soccer and will always cherish the memories she made at C-NS.
