Samsung Unveils Galaxy F06: India’s Most Affordable 5G Smartphone at Rs 9,499

Samsung has introduced the Galaxy F06, its most budget-friendly 5G smartphone in India, priced at just Rs 9,499. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, the device supports 12 5G bands and carrier aggregation, ensuring compatibility across all major telecom networks.

A 5G Experience Without Limitations

Unlike many budget 5G phones that restrict users to certain network providers, the Galaxy F06 is designed for flexibility. Samsung has ensured that its latest budget offering can work with all major telecom operators in India, making 5G more accessible than ever before.

The inclusion of carrier aggregation—a feature typically reserved for mid-range devices—allows for better signal reception and faster data speeds. This means users won’t have to compromise on performance even at this price point.

Display and Design: Big, Bright, and Bold

The Galaxy F06 sports a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD screen, complete with High Brightness Mode (HBM) that peaks at 800 nits. Whether indoors or under bright sunlight, visibility shouldn’t be an issue.

Samsung has opted for a striking design, featuring a vertical pill-shaped camera island at the back. The phone comes in two eye-catching color options, adding a bit of flair to the budget segment.

Cameras That Get the Job Done

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy F06 with a dual-camera setup on the back, comprising a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. While this might not rival premium flagships, it should be sufficient for everyday photography.

On the front, an 8MP selfie camera sits in a teardrop notch. It’s a familiar setup that should cater to video calls and casual selfies without much trouble.

Battery and Charging: Speed Meets Longevity

Battery life is often a deciding factor for budget smartphone buyers, and Samsung seems to have nailed it with a 5,000mAh battery. The company claims that this device supports the fastest charging in its price range, thanks to 25W wired charging.

While a charger may not be included in the box, Samsung’s ecosystem offers plenty of affordable charging options for those looking to make the most of this feature.

Software and Longevity: Four Years of Updates

One of the biggest selling points of the Galaxy F06 is its software promise. Running on One UI 7 based on Android 15, Samsung has committed to delivering four years of OS updates and security patches.

This level of software support is rare in this price bracket, ensuring that users won’t be left behind when new features and security enhancements roll out.
