The Nigerian striker has accused the Georgian agent of being disrespectful and dishonest after he suggested that Osimhen would join Al-Hilal next summer.
Victor Osimhen, the star striker of Napoli and Nigeria, has expressed his anger and frustration at his teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent Mamuka Jugeli, who has made some controversial comments about Osimhen’s future.
Jugeli, who represents Kvaratskhelia, a young Georgian winger who joined Napoli from Dinamo Batumi in 2022, has claimed that Osimhen would be willing to move to Saudi Arabia next summer if he received a lucrative offer from Al-Hilal.
The Saudi Pro League has been attracting many top players in recent years, with clubs such as Al Nassr, Al Ahli, Al Ittihad and Al Hilal spending huge amounts of money to sign stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Neymar and Sadio Mane.
However, Osimhen has dismissed the rumours as “ridiculous” and “unbelievable”, saying that he is happy at Napoli and has no intention of leaving the club anytime soon.
He also slammed Jugeli for being disrespectful and dishonest towards him and his club, calling him a “piece of filth” and a “dumb f***” in an Instagram story on Wednesday.
Osimhen wrote: “Dear Mamuka Jugeli, you are a piece of filth and a disgrace. I’m embarrassed at your sense of reasoning. Dumb f***! Keep my name out of your mouth!”
Osimhen also revealed that he signed a new contract with Napoli last month until 2026, with his salary reportedly more than doubling to £8.6m per season. He also rejected a £115m advance from Al-Hilal in the summer.
Kvaratskhelia’s agent also suggested that not even a mega-money offer would be enough to tempt the Georgian to Saudi Arabia, with the winger instead preferring a move within Europe.
“[Victor] Osimhen signed a new contract, but do you really think he will spend his entire career at Napoli?” Jugeli said to Georgian outlet 1TV. “I can already tell you he will go to Saudi Arabia next summer. Napoli have raised his salary, but Khvicha would not accept such a transfer even for €1bn. He’d rather play for Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Manchester City. Kvaratskhelia has different targets and preferences.”
Jugeli added: “Kvaratskhelia wants to have success, and he is already achieving it. He is among the best three players in the world. All will happen at the right time, it’s still early. No team would reject the chance to sign him.”
However, Osimhen’s reaction to Jugeli’s suggestion hints that he may not be Saudi-bound after all. He took to his Instagram story on Wednesday to show his displeasure at his teammate’s agent.
