Georgia’s Chairman of “Georgian Dream” Irakli Gharibashvili spoke to journalists about various issues, among them were the relations between Georgia and America. He told to journalists that Georgia’s desire to strengthen strategic relations with America has always existed.
He also spoke to journalists about other topics, including the possibility of online voting for the elections by emigrants. “Proportional elections are held for the first time and they will be held electronically. This is an unprecedented decision made by our government. emigrants have the opportunity to participate in elections and everything is fine”, Irakli Gharibashvili.
Irakli Gharibashvili noted that Georgia was and remains a strong and reliable partner of the United States in the region and abroad. The meeting at the Government Administration focused on the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine and the impact of the war on the security environment in the region.
Georgia has been actively supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and has welcomed Ukraine’s aspirations to join NATO and EU. Georgia has also been pursuing its own Euro-Atlantic integration, and has received support from the United States and other European countries.
