The police tracked down Hart’s location and surrounded her house with a SWAT team and other law enforcement agencies. They tried to persuade her to surrender peacefully, but she refused to cooperate.

The standoff lasted for several hours, during which some neighbors were evacuated from the area. The police used flash bangs and tear gas to enter the house and arrest Hart, who was hiding in the attic.
