A whopping 14 of those points came inside the paint, and the team’s defensive pressure was evident as they forced Georgia into eight turnovers. Florida converted those turnovers into 13 points, adding to their growing lead.

Reynolds continued her strong play, scoring six more points in the third, bringing her to 13 for the game. With the Gators’ lead expanding to 17 points by the end of the third, Georgia was running out of time to mount a comeback.

Fourth Quarter: Gators Finish Strong Despite Slow Offensive Play

The Gators’ offense slowed down in the fourth quarter, with Florida shooting a game-low 28.6% from the field. They only made one three-pointer in the period, but their defensive effort and rebounding were enough to close out the game. Florida grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds in the fourth quarter, further limiting Georgia’s chances for a late rally.

Florida’s defense also remained relentless, forcing three of their eight steals in the final period. The Gators were able to put the game out of reach with 13 more points in the final 10 minutes, maintaining a comfortable lead and finishing with a 73-57 victory.
