Small Business Optimism Drops Amid Inflation and Labor Woes
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) reported a decline in small business optimism in August, as rising inflation and labor shortages dampened the outlook of entrepreneurs. The NFIB Small Business Optimism Index, a quarterly survey of U.S. small businesses, fell 0.6 points to 91.3, the lowest level since March 2021.
