Air Astana Expands Summer Flight Network with New Routes to Turkey and Georgia

Air Astana is significantly expanding its summer 2025 flight network, offering travelers more options to reach popular destinations in Turkey and Georgia. The move marks a substantial boost for regional connectivity, enhancing travel choices for both leisure and business passengers.

Increased Flights to Turkish and Georgian Destinations

Starting March 30, 2025, Air Astana will increase the frequency of its flights to Antalya, a top-tier vacation spot along Turkey’s Mediterranean coast. Travelers from Almaty can expect 12 weekly flights, while passengers departing from Astana will have 10 weekly options. The airline is also stepping up its Almaty-Istanbul route, raising its weekly frequency from seven to ten flights.

Meanwhile, in Georgia, the Almaty-Tbilisi route will continue with up to 10 flights per week. The Astana-Tbilisi service, previously on hold, will resume with four weekly flights. Additionally, a new route from Atyrau to Tbilisi is being introduced, providing three weekly connections.

Strengthening Presence in Asia

Air Astana has also set its sights on strengthening its presence in other parts of Asia. In a previous announcement, the airline revealed plans to introduce new routes to Vietnam. Flights to Nha Trang will begin on March 24 from Almaty (four times a week) and on March 25 from Astana (three times a week). Additionally, Da Nang will be added to the network with flights from Astana launching on May 14 (twice a week) and from Almaty starting June 4 (twice a week).

Further expanding its footprint, Air Astana launched flights from Almaty to Guangzhou on March 30, operating three times per week. Another key addition to the network will be the new Almaty-Mumbai route, which will commence on April 20 with three weekly flights. To improve connectivity within the region, Air Astana will also start a four-times-a-week service from Almaty to Osh on May 28.

Strategic Expansion in Central Asia and Beyond

Air Astana’s latest expansion underscores its ambitions to solidify its status as the leading airline in Central Asia and the Caucasus. With a fleet of 60 aircraft, the airline continues to increase its market share while offering diverse travel opportunities. Air Astana, which has been operating since 2002, runs alongside FlyArystan, its low-cost subsidiary established in 2019, to cater to a wide range of passengers.

The airline’s growth strategy is evident in its decision to revive and expand routes that cater to both leisure and business travelers. By adding more flights to high-demand destinations and launching services on previously untapped routes, Air Astana is positioning itself as a key player in regional aviation.

With summer travel demand expected to rise, Air Astana’s new routes and increased frequencies come at the right time, ensuring passengers have greater flexibility and more direct connections. Whether it’s the beaches of Antalya, the cultural richness of Istanbul, or the charm of Tbilisi, travelers will have more options than ever before to explore new destinations with ease.
